After getting into 3D Printing and finding so many existing projects out there I had to make a new clock. This one is of an Omega Speedmaster chronograph. It uses the Bambu Lab clock kit, which includes a second hand that sweeps like a mechanical watch. The quality is amazing, though the chronograph hands are just superglued to the dial.

Some background…

A few years ago I made this cigar box bluetooth speaker but was not happy with it. The amp I used is not particularly good, and tends to highlight the mids and has almost no bass. This made it terrible for music…but not terrible for speech.

At one point I had wedged this amp into a Bose nightstand radio that was intended to hold an iPod, figuring the Bose speakers would make it sound better. They did not. The speakers and amp went back on the shelf for a long time. I figured I would never use the amp since it was so low quality.

Casio Royale Faceplates

It’s interesting to see how people on the internet get so excited about modding the Casio Royale. There are a lot of good mods and a lot of bad ones. Frequently you will see people commenting on mode complaining that people are ruining the watch by covering up the analog time display, since that is part of the core functionality of the watch. I find these to be quite funny since the time is displayed digitally, and let’s face it, the analog display is not the easiest to read. So for this mod I wanted to try something completely different, and fully block the top displays.

Silakka 54

Instead of spending $500+ on a split ergo keyboard, I found this Silakka 54 keyboard on Aliexpress that was just the PCB assembled. I bought some silent switches and 3D printed the keycaps, all for about $50. I also printed the tenting wedges, which someone had already modeled. I am super happy with this keyboard, which is ultra customizable.

I did not initially intend to 3D print the keycaps, but as I started using the keyboard I noticed the special characters on the number row were too small to read. As I searched the web for caps with larger text I could not find any that seemed like they would work, then I realized I could just print them! I found blank keycaps on Makerworld, then added the letters, special characters and even text on the front of the keys. Printing them face down ensured a smooth print.

MF Doom

When I got the 3D printer for Christmas 2025 I proudly proclaimed that I would only use it for things that were useful, and I would not waste precious filament on knick knacks to clutter my desk. That lasted about a month, until I ran into this MF Doom model. I wanted it in color but didnt have any colors other than black and white. So I just printed it in white and painted it whith acrylic paints.

I found the picture below, erased Dr. Doolittle from it, then used a website that I can’t recall at the moment to convert it to a 3D model.
